Servicing Wellington & the Hutt Valley Mon–Sat, 7am–5pm

Commercial & contracted tree management.

Body corporates, schools, councils, farms, orchards and facilities, scheduled tree programmes with the reporting and compliance you actually need.

Commercial tree management isn't just bigger jobs. It's different jobs, recurring schedules, hazard registers, incident reporting, prequalified contracts, and stakeholders who care less about price-per-tree and more about predictable outcomes. Alpine Arborism is set up for that side of the work.

Sectors we work in

  • Body corporates & property managers: multi-unit dwellings, retirement villages, commercial parks. Annual programmes that keep boundary trees, common-area trees and shared driveways safe and tidy.
  • Schools & ECEs: termly hazard inspections, pre-event safety checks, holiday-period removals and pruning.
  • Local authorities: councils, parks, road corridors, reserve maintenance.
  • Orchards & commercial growers: winter pruning, summer thinning, end-of-life block clearing for replanting.
  • Farms & lifestyle blocks: shelterbelt management, fence-line clearing, hazard tree removals.
  • Facilities & healthcare: hospitals, aged care, university campuses where works need careful scheduling around residents and patients.
  • Power & lines companies: vegetation management to network-operator close-approach standards.

How a commercial engagement runs

  1. Initial walk-through & tree register. A qualified arborist surveys your site and produces a tree register, every significant tree mapped, ID'd, condition-rated, with recommended work and timing.
  2. Annual programme & budget. The register turns into a calendarised work plan with budget. You see what's coming twelve months out.
  3. Execution. Scheduled visits, each with prestart docs, on-site briefing, post-job report and photo record.
  4. Reactive call-outs. Storm damage, tenant complaints, urgent hazards, covered under the same agreement with priority response.
  5. Annual review. Updated register, condition changes flagged, next year's programme drafted.

Compliance, documentation, reporting

  • SiteWise verified contractor, happy to onboard onto your prequalification system (SiteWise, Tōtika, Site Safe, etc.).
  • Standardised SWMS & JSAs for every job, retained on file.
  • Incident & near-miss reporting per your reporting framework.
  • Photo-documented work records: before, during, after.
  • Insurance certificates on file, renewed automatically.
  • Traffic management plans where road corridor work is involved.
  • Council/network liaison built into the workflow.
Body corporate? We're happy to attend an AGM or owners' committee meeting to walk through tree work scope and answer questions directly. Saves the back-and-forth.

How we price commercial work

Three pricing models depending on what works for you:

  • Fixed-price programme. Set annual fee covering an agreed schedule of work, plus a defined reactive allowance.
  • Schedule of rates. Agreed per-job unit rates, jobs called off as needed against the schedule.
  • Hourly + materials. Standard hourly rates with itemised disposal, suits ad-hoc and emergency-led portfolios.

All written into a service agreement, no handshake-only deals.
